Big Bang’s Daesung will make his first public appearance at the press conference for upcoming MBN drama “What’s Up” on December 6. Since his car accident in May, Daesung has suspended all activities in Korea.
“Daesung will appear in public at the press conference with other cast members,” an MBN official told local media. Daesung will appear alongside Im Joo Hwan, Lee Soo Hyuk, Jang Hee Jin, and Yim Joo Eun for the first press meeting.
This will be the first official public event in Korea for Daesung since his car accident last May. He made an appearance at the MTV “European Music Awards” earlier this month with Big Bang, but that show took place in the UK.

YG Entertainment stated on the 19th, “We will be performing a YG Family Concert in celebration of our 15th anniversary. We will hold 3 concerts for about 40,000 guests per show at the Olympic Hall in Seoul on December 3rd & 4th, then on January 7th and 8th, perform two shows for about 80,000 guests per concert at the Osaka Colosseum, and finally 2 shows at the Saitama Super Arena on January 21st & 22nd for about 80,000 guests each show.”
‘YG Family Concert’ is an event that has taken place regularly since YG Entertainment was established in 1997. Each of the label’s artists put on individual performance to express their unique talents and skills, and also collaborate to put on a colorful show for their fans. The concert is one in which both the audience and the artists can truly enjoy themselves.
This year is a an especially noteworthy milestone for YG, as they celebrate their 15th anniversary and thus, this year’s YG Family Concert should be that much more phenomenal, filled with new and exciting performances for their fans.
YG Entertainment has also established a new company ‘YGEX‘ in collaboration with Japanese agency AVEX, and this is the first time since their ten-year anniversary in 2006 that they are performing a YG Family Concert overseas.
Artists that will be performing at the Family Concert include YG’s eldest hyung Se7en, the talented Gummy, the unique and charismatic2NE1, and Hallyu idol icons Big Bang who made their debut performance at the 10th anniversary YG Family Concert in 2006. G-Dragon’s concert attendance, however, is still to be decided.
There will be some new faces at the concert this year as well. Singer Psy who was a guest at the annual concert last year will be performing on stage as a YG family member along with Epik High‘s Tablo, who has also recently signed a record deal with YG Entertainment and about to release his first solo album.
Big Bang’s Daesung who has been taking a long break since his unexpected car accident in May will be making his comeback performance at the concert, and it will be a joyous one for fans who have been awaiting this very moment.
Ticket sales for the concert begin on October 27th.

19日，为大声事故出面仲裁的某相关人士向STARin透露「今天下午2点左右，大声方面与交通事故中死者玄某的家属见面，圆满地达成了和解」。
相关人士告知「在往生者家属面前，虽然说什麼也难以抚慰，总之，由於需要适当的补偿与处置，这段期间共与死者家属方面进行过2、3次的会面，一直持续协议至今」。
该人士并且说明，这次大声与玄某家属方面的协议与YG Entertainment无关，是大声在个人的层级内所完成的。
相关人士表示「由於是大声私人行程中所发生的事故，所属经纪公司YG Entertainmet并没有出面的立场」，继而又说「根据所知，死者家属方面也认为大声跟往生者同样可怜，当下表明并不希望大声受到惩处」。
先前5月31日凌晨，大声驾驶自用奥迪客车行驶途中，於首尔市杨花大桥南端连续追撞已倒地的机车骑士玄某，以及停车於其前方的计程车而酿下了事故。
据警方侦查结果，研判玄某当时是由於酒驾导致不注意，自己头部撞上了路灯倒地而身受重伤，然而该伤势应当不至於导致死亡。警方因此判定大声事故导致玄某死亡的可能性很大，继而做出了不拘留起诉的意见，将大声函送检方法办。
另一方面，虽然在最坏的情况下，法界相关人士不排除有入监服刑的可能，不过由於完全没有犯意，又与死者家属圆满地达成了和解，就这两点看来，预期应该会以易科罚金作结。
交通事故处理特别法第3条第1项明确表示，当发生死亡交通意外，或速度违反导致事故时，得处5年以下的监禁，或易科2000万元以下的罚金。此外，因前方注视怠慢等导致过失致死时，得处2年以下的监禁，或易科700万元以下的罚金。

It was just reported by local media OSEN moments ago that Daesung and the victim’s family reached a settlement over the car accident from last May. The exact details of the settlement were not revealed.
“Today Daesung and the victim’s family reached a settlement. The victim’s family expressed their desire to not have Daesung serve any punishment. They said they felt sympathy for Daesung and told him not to be agonized over the issue. The victim’s family also encouraged him to continue showing good performances,” an unnamed source was quoted as saying.
On May 31st, Daesung hit a motorcyclist who was lying on the street due to a previous crash that resulted from drunk driving. The motorcyclist was found dead when police came to the scene. Since the accident, Daesung has not made any public appearances, reportedly spending most of his time at home in extreme mental pain.
Following today’s settlement, Daesung is expected to speed up his recovery process as many fans anticipate his return to the K-Pop scene.

Prosecution officials have revealed that it’s not easy to assign charges, because they need to thoroughly investigate everything from the origin, there will be a need to call Daesung again.
Last May 31st Daesung was driving his car in the southern area of Seoul when he failed to see motorcyclist Mr. Hyun who was collapsed on the road, and hit him and then went on to hit a taxi in front of him.
Daesung was indicted without a detention by the prosecutors last month andstopped all his entertainment activities. Meanwhile he’ll have to wait for the prosecutor’s re-summon.

On June 24th, the Seoul, Youngdeungpo police revealed, “Hyun, the deceased motorcyclist involved inDaesung’s car accident, died from Daesung’s collision. As a result, the police will be making a dispatch to charge him without detention.”
On this day, the Youngdeungpo police held a press conference revealing their investigations and confirmed that there was only a 132 second window between the first accident and the collision with Daesung’s car. They revealed, “There was only about two minutes between his motorcycle accident and Daesung’s accident, so we have determined that Hyun did not die in that time frame. There were not a lot of cars on the road and the speed limit was 60km/h, but we discovered through the taxi’s video that he was speeding at 70 to 80 km/h.”
When asked to confirm whether there was a previous hit-and-run accident, police stated, “It has nothing to do with the case. There weren’t a lot of cars on the road at the time, and his alcohol level was 0.186. It has nothing to do with a hit-and-run.”
With confirmation that Hyun was killed by Daesung’s car, what Daesung will be charged for is currently unknown. The law currently states that he could be jailed for under five years, or pay a penalty of $20,000 USD.

It was reported today that the motorcyclist involved in Daesung’s car accident from two weeks ago was drunk driving at the moment and it’s highly possible that his crash had occurred as a result of negligent driving. Also it was revealed that there was no hit-and-run accident involved prior to Daesung’s contact with the victim.
According to local media E-Daily, police officials reviewing the accident said, “We’ve already completed on-site investigations and CCTV reviews. The results have confirmed us there was no hit-and-run accident prior to Daesung’s collision.”
The official added, “We’re still waiting for final autopsy results but the National Forensic Service said alcohol was discovered from the motorcyclist’s blood test results. Based on witness testimonies and on-site investigations, it’s highly likely that the motorcyclist hurt himself due to negligent driving.”
The police are currently looking into the motorcyclist’s exact time of death. Experts say further investigation will reveal the exact timeline and whether the motorcyclist died as a result of his first crash or if it was caused by Daesung’s accident that followed shortly after. However, the autopsy results that were supposed to come out today will be delayed, possibly until next week, the police said.

Following his car accident earlier this morning, Daesung got investigated by the police for over five hours, getting released around 7AM, local media reported. According to police, Daesung was not driving under the influence. But the motorcyclist he crashed into has been pronounced dead immediately following the accident and police is investigating whether his death was caused by Daesung’s crash or not.
“The motorcyclist has been confirmed to be dead but we’ll have to do more investigation to find out if he was killed by Daesung’s car or by a prior accident,” the police said. “Daesung will have to prove the motorcyclist’s death was not caused by his crash in order to avoid any liability issues.”
For a more accurate investigation, the police are currently reviewing the CCTV screens while the damaged motorcycle and some footage of the accident have been sent to the National Forensic Service for closer examination.
In the meantime, YG Entertainment said in an official statement that “Daesung is currently in a heavy state of shock and grief over the accident he could’t avoid. He broke down in tears in concern over the victim… He will follow any police investigation but he is in great pain over this issue.”

I almost didn’t become a Big Bang member because I couldn’t wear clothes well.”

Seungri got his moment of spotlight when he revealed, “When I was carrying out my solo promotions, I found my own style. After that, my poses [for photoshoots] became more varied.”

Q1. First of all we talk about the drama ‘What’s Up’. It’s been a topic in Japan, but what kind of guy is D-Lite playing, and what kind of story is it? We could see photos on the Verdis(?) concert Japanese homepage, but what was the costume like?
Dae: Its a drama about the passion of college students dreaming of being musical stars. I’m one of them. I wore a mask on stage, and it was a lot heavier than I thought and felt uncomfortable.
Q2. What was it like working as an actor? What was difficult? What were the lessons you had before you started filming, or the things you practiced yourself?
Dae: There were lots of musical scenes, and because the performing actors and staff always paid attention to me, I really practiced a lot in places they couldn’t see. The songs and dances were different from the one I do with Big Bang, so I worked hard to be able to perform them really well.
Q3. What was the most enjoyable thing in filming? Are there differences between work as Big Bang and solo work?
Dae: I’d done a musical, and had also had to have done a drama, but it was all really fun. I think both as Big Bang activities and solo work have their own appeal.
Q4. Next is about music. D-Lite’s solo song ‘Baby Don’t Cry’ became a headline in this year’s Big Show - what is the meaning of the song? Please explain for Japanese fans who haven’t heard it!
Dae: It’s a love song, but the melody is sad, isn’t it? The meaning is: ‘Even if you have something don’t cry, I’m by your side’. The song is in Big Bang’s Special Edition Album in Korea, so please listen to it and feel the song.
Q5. What’s the difference between Baby Don’t Cry and your solo songs up til now?
Dae: My solo songs up til now have been happy with a bit of Enka (Japanese equivalent of Trot music), but BDC is the genre of song I most wanted to sing.
Q6. Recently we think you’ve become manly and sexy, did something happen? Your body is also stronger/buffer, did you do special training?
Dae: Sexy?! Haha! You noticed? Haha, I’m sorry. You say ‘strong’, but I think when I lost a few kilos my hidden muscles appeared. Haha, I’m sorry!!
Q7. In a previous article you said that ‘the secret to your smiling face’ is that you have lots of fun things going on around you. Has anything fun happened to make you smile?
Dae: Well recently in Korea we held Big Show, and more fans then ever before came so we were delighted. Of course when I see fans I naturally smile.
Q8. Also in a previous Junon article you said, ‘I want to go skiing!’ Did you get to go? And you probably don’t get much holiday, but how do you spend your free days?
Dae: I’m at home all day on free days. I think that not going out is the best way to spend a free day. I got to go skiing once too!
Q9. Is there anything you’re crazy about recently?
Dae: Its not something I’m crazy about, but everyone saw my ‘all-purpose bag’ and then bought me bags as presents, so I have loads of bags at home. But it wouldn’t be good if I didn’t have a bag.

Dae: Of course its always exciting being able to meet Japanese fans, and I want to see everyone being genki/happy. Please wait just a little bit longer!!
