What is YGEX?

Q. Your thoughts about being part of YGEX with all the YG Family?
GD: Being able to be together as YG Family makes me happy and I feel confident.
T.O.P: Being able to be together makes me happy.
CL: I think we all have the same feeling as a family and to be able to debut as 2NE1 here makes me happy.
Dara: Ibecame the advertisement manager and I will also become the fresh manager Park in Japan as well.
Bom: I’m looking forward to being able to show a various side of us to our fans.
Q. To BIGBANG, you guys released solo and unit albums. what was that like?
GD: We worked on solo projects and we will be doing the same this year.
TOP: we were really excited and felt a different type of fun by being able to do the music we wanted to do and being able to show a different side of us apart from big bang

GD: We were able to do a lot of things last year and we hope to do the same thing in Japan in the near future.

Big Bang can add another notch onto their victory belt, as they’ve secured a #1 on Taiwanese music charts.
The boys’ 4th mini-album, as well as their special edition album, concert DVDs, and behind-the-scenes concert book, have all been big hits in Taiwan, landing solid spots on the G-MUSIC, FIVE MUSIC, KuangNan Record, & BOOKS.COMcharts under the ‘K-POP Album & DVD’ category.
Additionally, the title track for their special edition album, “Love Song“, reached the#1 spot on the Taiwanese MTV chart. The five members are currently taking a break after they recently concluded their tour concerts in Japan.

Big Bang won Hanteo’s annual “Singer Award” chart for 2011 from their sales made from January 1st to July 18th!
The ranking for each artist is based on album sales records saved by Hanteo. The ranking counts all of the albums/singles released by each artist throughout their careers, but only counts the sales those albums made in 2011.
Big Bang came in first place with higher sales, for their 56 albums/singles since 2006, than senior group DBSK who sold 156,067 copies from 130 albums/singles at #2. SS501′s leader Kim Hyung Joong who went solo this year also ranked high at #3 from 3 albums/singles.

Park Myung Soo on July 18th appeared on the Radio Show “Date at 2, I am Yoon Do Hyun.” And he talked about his recent hit with G-Dragon (Together they are GG) “Having an Affair.”
Park Myung Soo stated, “It would be a lie to say that we weren’t trying to gain popularity, however this song is in a genre that I really wanted to do, Electronic/Hip Hop.”
Park Myung Soo also said, “The electronic genre uses a lot of electronic sounds, I believe that G-Dragon is the only person that can keep making new sources of electronic. G-Dragon is very good at making this kind of music and this is the reason I really wanted to work with him. I even threatened him.”

受出现死者的车祸牵连、遭不拘留起诉的BIGBANG成员大声，与死者家属方面达成了和解。
19日，为大声事故出面仲裁的某相关人士向STARin透露「今天下午2点左右，大声方面与交通事故中死者玄某的家属见面，圆满地达成了和解」。
相关人士告知「在往生者家属面前，虽然说什麼也难以抚慰，总之，由於需要适当的补偿与处置，这段期间共与死者家属方面进行过2、3次的会面，一直持续协议至今」。
该人士并且说明，这次大声与玄某家属方面的协议与YG Entertainment无关，是大声在个人的层级内所完成的。
相关人士表示「由於是大声私人行程中所发生的事故，所属经纪公司YG Entertainmet并没有出面的立场」，继而又说「根据所知，死者家属方面也认为大声跟往生者同样可怜，当下表明并不希望大声受到惩处」。
先前5月31日凌晨，大声驾驶自用奥迪客车行驶途中，於首尔市杨花大桥南端连续追撞已倒地的机车骑士玄某，以及停车於其前方的计程车而酿下了事故。
据警方侦查结果，研判玄某当时是由於酒驾导致不注意，自己头部撞上了路灯倒地而身受重伤，然而该伤势应当不至於导致死亡。警方因此判定大声事故导致玄某死亡的可能性很大，继而做出了不拘留起诉的意见，将大声函送检方法办。
另一方面，虽然在最坏的情况下，法界相关人士不排除有入监服刑的可能，不过由於完全没有犯意，又与死者家属圆满地达成了和解，就这两点看来，预期应该会以易科罚金作结。
交通事故处理特别法第3条第1项明确表示，当发生死亡交通意外，或速度违反导致事故时，得处5年以下的监禁，或易科2000万元以下的罚金。此外，因前方注视怠慢等导致过失致死时，得处2年以下的监禁，或易科700万元以下的罚金。

It was just reported by local media OSEN moments ago that Daesung and the victim’s family reached a settlement over the car accident from last May. The exact details of the settlement were not revealed.
“Today Daesung and the victim’s family reached a settlement. The victim’s family expressed their desire to not have Daesung serve any punishment. They said they felt sympathy for Daesung and told him not to be agonized over the issue. The victim’s family also encouraged him to continue showing good performances,” an unnamed source was quoted as saying.
On May 31st, Daesung hit a motorcyclist who was lying on the street due to a previous crash that resulted from drunk driving. The motorcyclist was found dead when police came to the scene. Since the accident, Daesung has not made any public appearances, reportedly spending most of his time at home in extreme mental pain.
Following today’s settlement, Daesung is expected to speed up his recovery process as many fans anticipate his return to the K-Pop scene.

An official from the Korean Music Copyright Association said in a phone call with Star Daily News, “It’s not true that G-Dragon is ranked #1 in terms of copyright income. This matter became such a big topic that it was researched and confirmed that this claim is exaggerated. Absolute information concerning copyrights cannot be disclosed to the public because there’s no way of knowing the specific income ranking of copyright holders. “
Last May on Mnet’s “Beatles Code” Seungri revealed, “G-Dragon is currently considered #1 in the Copyright Association. He even ranks higher than composer Cho Young Soo.”
In the end it was found out that Cho Young Su has 426 songs registered under the Copyright Association, 4 times more than G-Dragon who has 107.

Prosecution officials have revealed that it’s not easy to assign charges, because they need to thoroughly investigate everything from the origin, there will be a need to call Daesung again.
Last May 31st Daesung was driving his car in the southern area of Seoul when he failed to see motorcyclist Mr. Hyun who was collapsed on the road, and hit him and then went on to hit a taxi in front of him.
Daesung was indicted without a detention by the prosecutors last month andstopped all his entertainment activities. Meanwhile he’ll have to wait for the prosecutor’s re-summon.
